A highly specialised sales person largely focussed on either construction or engineering. Their role is to work with architects, designers and consultants on construction projects at the blueprint drawing stage and ensure their products are specifically drawn into the document. It requires a soft approach with a lot of presentations, product demos and trade shows to ensure you and your company are front and centre in the mind of the person in charge of the blueprints. Overseeing long sales cycles and having the patience for multiple touchpoints are key. Often the basic salaries are high to reflect this with a small bonus structure, either a car or a car allowance, company phone and laptop and expenses to cover travel costs.
