Site Manager
Site Managers manage site activities to make sure works are completed to the right schedule and quality. They may manage direct labour or liaise with subcontractors on various building works and depending on the scale of project may also have a number of section forepersons reporting to them. Site managers may come from either a construction trades background with carpentry being a popular starting trade many, or they may have obtained a third level qualification, for example in construction management.
