Site Engineer
A Site Engineer usually works for a main contractor or a civil engineering subcontractor and reports to the site or project manager for a construction project. Site engineers are generally responsible for setting out of the site – i.e. marking the points that will be used to construct a building or civils works. They use equipment such as a theodolite and laser levels to complete the setting out. Site Engineers also liaise with subcontractors on site and are often responsible for quality control and checking of documentation and materials to be used in a project. They may hold a degree in construction management or civil engineering or similar discipline.
Clare
Clare is a county in western Ireland with terrain ranging from rolling countryside to craggy Atlantic coastline. The Burren, a uniquely rocky wilderness area, shelters Stone Age monuments and ancient churches, and atop the 213m-high Cliffs of Moher, O’Brien’s Tower offers sweeping ocean views.. Outside the gateway town of Shannon, 15th-century Bunratty Castle and its folk park reenact medieval-era banquets.
