Legal Executive

Legal Executives and Paralegals come in many forms and depends on the job required of them in the Company or Firm.  For example, a Law Firm may want their Legal Executives to administer contracts, or play a quasi-Legal Secretary role and other Legal Executives or Paralegals will run a caseload of Property files and have them signed off by a Solicitor at the end of the transaction as they typically cannot undertake for the work that they carry out.

Many Legal Executives transform themselves into Solicitors or Barristers after they get enough experience.  Gaining a job as a Paralegal, Legal Executive or Legal Secretary is usually a good stepping stone for the rest of your Legal Career and there are also those who wish to be career Legal Executives or Secretaries. Recently, with GDPR, Legal Executives have been used on a contract basis to help with Data Protection in Legal teams.  They go into a company and take the legal counsel or solicitors instruction on what they need them to assist with from a Data Protection viewpoint such as dealing with Freedom of Information Requests or tidying up contracts to ensure that the relevant Data Protection clauses are included.

Donegal

County Donegal is a largely Irish-speaking region bordering the Atlantic Ocean in northwestern Ireland. It’s made up of castles, rugged coastline and mountains such as the quartzite Mount Errigal. Glenveagh National Park, once a private estate, encompasses forests, lakes and bogland in the Derryveagh Mountains. Its 1870s manor house, the Scottish Baronial-style Glenveagh Castle, is known for its Victorian gardens.
