Commercial Broker

Commercial Brokers, sometimes known as Account Managers depending on the organisation that employs them, are usually an intermediary between an Insurer and customer. Usually attached to a sales function, a Commercial Broker will play a key role in maintaining and developing business for an insurer. Commercial Brokers can work directly for an insurer, for an intermediary, or be self-employed. The salary on offer for a Commercial Broker can vary greatly with experience, type of employment contract and position within an organisation. Usually APA/QFA qualified, a junior Commercial Broker can expect to start off on the €25,000 - €35,000 range with a Senior Commercial Broker demanding anywhere from €60,000 - €100,000 plus.
