Business Analyst
A Business Analyst can work across various areas within an insurance company. Excluding IT specific roles, a Business Analyst will usually sit within the Claims or Underwriting team in an insurance company. The Business Analyst will work closely with Underwriters, Actuaries and Claims Managers in highlighting trends, compiling the data and presenting reports to senior management. The Business Analyst will use the data and identifying and suggest ways to improve processes and procedures. A Business Analyst can demand a salary from €30,000 for an entry level position to €60,000 plus for a technical specialist. Although there is no specific qualification required for a Business Analyst, the Certified Insurance Practitioner qualification, and more recently, a Data Analytics qualification would be considered desirable by several insurance companies.
