Role description:
The developer will be required to supplement our existing Business Intelligence team and undertake projects under the direction of the Business Intelligence Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities
o Database design, code, test and integration test tasks within prescribed timescales.
o Bug diagnoses and fixing.
o Deliver ad hoc data request to meet business requirements
o Production of system technical documentation
o Advise project lead on task progress.
o Team interaction.

Key Skill Requirements:
o Excellent knowledge and experience of MS SQL Server 2005
o Conceptual and physical data modelling experience
o Excellent SQL/T-SQL skills including the creation and debugging of views, stored procedures and triggers.
o Experience of SSIS to perform ETL tasks.
o Experience of data base optimisation and indexing strategies for high transaction volume environments.
o Good working knowledge of database security in highly sensitive environments.

Desirable Skills
o Working knowledge XML/Xpath/DTD/XSD
o MS Certification
o Oracle Experience
o Telecommunications Industry Experience
