QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER ROLE FOR FOOD INDUSTRY

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Implementation and maintenance of HACCP and GMP systems
• Monitoring and reporting of quality standards to the department team
• Monitoring of the production process in line with factory HACCP
• Implement, monitor and review of corrective actions
• Cross-functional teamwork to meet project targets
• Training of new and existing staff
• Pre-production audits of factory equipment and cleanliness
• Carrying out product and room temperature checks
• Carrying out monthly glass audits and weekly hygiene audits of individual departments
• Positive release of in process and finished products
• Water sampling and testing
• Ensuring that total traceability is maintained throughout each process.
• Metal detection and auditing of auditing of records
• Assist in the preparation of the site for internal and external audits

SKILLS:
• Third level degree in relevant science subject
• Experience in a food environment
• Good technical knowledge of Quality Management Systems
• Good team player
• Excellent co-ordinating and follow up skills
• Excellent communication skills
