Working for a company that is in the process of developing a sales team and are looking for a business development representative in Cork. The ideal candidate will have B2B business development experience, preferably in the SME market. Basically a good hungry business developer.
 
Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify increased business opportunities from new SME customer base, use expertise and knowledge to make innovative proposals and further grow the SME base.
• Sell solutions to the New target market - SME business market.
• Develop a good knowledge of our Product Portfolio.
• Be a self-starter - source leads through cold calling and manage leads from internal and external sources.
• Achieve quarterly and annual Sales targets.
• Responsible for a designated sales territory - need to have a very good knowledge of the potential business within the area.
• Keep informed of technical developments, industry trends, competitor activities working closely with technology partner channel.
• Translate customer requirements and the features of our service, into offering specific customer benefits and solutions.
• Qualify new prospects and prepare proposals, mailings, new initiatives as required.
• Utilise and maintain the data to track, forecast and close sales
• Utilise the data within the billing system.
• Update Manager and SME Channel Manager on progress preparing regular reports.
• Participate actively in Team meetings.
• Develop close working relationships with other Sales Teams and other departments, including the Business Support Team in Customer Care.

Operational Experience

• To drive and deliver connections through the SME market
• To utilise cross functional support from within the Business, working with sales, channel marketing and customer service.
• Assist in the achievement of overall business sales targets.
• Operate within pre-defined budgets for acquisition of business connections.
 
Personal Characteristics
 

• High levels of resilience and tenacity
• Flexible, innovative approach to work.
• Proven track record in achieving Sales targets, selling B2B.
• Solid understanding of mobile technology and developments
• Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate at all business levels
• Ability to work well under pressure and to work to targets.
• Good time management and planning skills. 

Willing to go to 50K on the basic if the candidate is strong enough, but otherwise looking for 1-2 years experience @ 35-40K, plus commission, phone, car, laptop.
