VENDOR ENGINEER WITH 3-5 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN AN MANUFACTURING/QUALTILY ENGINEERING MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT REQUIRED FOR A LEADING MEDICAL DEVICE COMPANY

Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality leadership in support of external manufacturing outsourcing programs and transfers.
  • Will develop vendor quality systems and ensure their ability to deliver products and components right first time. Will assist vendors in the resolving quality issues in relation to technical specifications, process validation, problem solving, development of sampling plans and audits findings.
  • Technically understanding vendor processes, provide engineering validation support. Provide input to validation protocols, coordinate inspections and analyze the results. Ensure agreement on inspection techniques, equipment and acceptance criteria.
  • Work at select vendor locations to complete key tasks such as producing advanced quality planning documentation, conduct process capability studies, develop supplier capability in risk assessments such as PFMEA .
  • Participate in key processes which include: Material Review Board, Supplier Audits, and issuance of Supplier Corrective Action Requests. Develop and manage First Article Inspections as required.
  • Promote continuous improvement and Process Excellence activities.
  • Lead the development of incoming attribute charts, in-process inspection procedures and final inspection plans. Minimise inspection costs while maintaining integrity and reliability of the product.
  • Aid in the implementation of new inspection technology, metrology equipment, functional gauges and fixtures to facilitate incoming and in-process inspection and testing.
  • Lead the resolution, analysis and problem solving of vendor related customer complaints.
  • Lead and co-ordinate Supplier Review Forums, Generate quality metrics on supplier performance and establish measures to monitor quality costs and cost avoidance.
  • Ensure effective and timely closure on all supplier corrective action requests.
  • Maintain standards of housekeeping & GMP requirements
  • Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are fulfilled.

 

Interested applicants should have:

  • Bachelor Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Manufacturing or Electrical Engineering or Materials Science).
  • Candidates with equivalent qualifications in other academic disciplines will also be considered with respect to related experience.
  • 3-5 years related manufacturing and/or Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
