Business Specialist - Pensions Technical Services Team

 

With over 173 years in the Financial Market our client is one of the leading financial services groups in Ireland. With over a quarter of a million clients and offices in Dublin, Cork and Galway employing over 450 people they are constantly growing. They are currently seeking a Business Specialist for their Pensions Technical Services Team based in South Co Dublin near Leopardstown and Sandyford.

 

The role of the Business Specialist will see you provide both internal & external customers with technical advice on all aspects of pensions. You will also be responsible for the following;


o Preparing pensions scheme documentation on a daily basis ensuring that scheme documentation is up to date at all times
o Applying pensions specialist knowledge within the division and externally, providing daily pensions technical support to brokers, trustees, the sales area and the group pensions administration area
o Providing pensions technical support to business initiatives contributing to the overall achievement of pensions business objectives
o Establishing links with various regulatory and legislative bodies ensuring that our client is aware of any actual or proposed legislative changes
o Ensuring our client achieves pensions compliance, providing assistance as required when new requirements arise or when difficulties arise
o Having a working knowledge of Revenue and Pensions Board practices
o Acting as a pensions technical resource to projects as required


This key role within the organization requires a technically sound person with strong business acumen. You will also possess the following;


o At least 4 years experience in a pensions role with a natural flair for explaining the technical aspects of pensions in a simple and clear manner
o  An in depth knowledge of pensions from both a legislative and compliance perspective
o The ability to be able to present complex pension issues in a clear manner
o Proven track record in resolving complex pension issues
o Have gained knowledge of the broader business, with a clear understanding of the role Technical Services provides to the business
o Ideally, you will have attained a Certificate/Diploma or have made substantial progress in either of the following FPC exams, LIA Pensions Diploma and / or progress in PMI exams.
o Minimum of QFA1 is required
• Good PC skills - competent in MS Office


Salary is €40,000 - €51,000 (depending on experience) & Attractive Benefits e.g. Educational Assistance, subsidized canteen, DB Pension Plan & more
