This Cork based company is a world leader in high-reliability motion control systems.

Due to an increase in business, they are looking to recruit a Senior Embedded Software Engineer for a permanent position based in their Cork operation

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and development of embedded software for the clients products.


Skills and Experience

• 2nd Class Honour's degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science.
• A PhD or MSc is an advantage.
  
• The successful candidate should have a minimum of 8 years of experience with a minimum of 4 years experience in a similar role.
  
• The successful candidate will be proficient in the C language.
  
• The successful candidate should have a demonstrated ability in the design and development of hard real-time embedded systems to defined project schedules.
  
• Motorola Power PC architecture.
  
• Texas Instruments Motor Control DSP's.
  
• Serial Communications such as CAN, Ethernet, Profibus, Firewire, Sercos.
  
• Electric Drives.
  
• Real Time Linux.
  
• Knowledge of Brushless Motor ControlControl Theory
  
• Experience of memory bus interfaces and memory interface design.
  
• Knowledge of electronic devices and FPGA communication with electronic devices (e.g. A/D, D/A, optical encoders).
  
• Knowledge of analog circuit design.
