LEADING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FIRM - STAMP DUTY MANAGER

Rare opportunity to join one of Ireland's leading professional services firms as a Stamp Duty Manager within their Tax and Legal Services Department.  The Department provides tax and legal advice to Irish plcs, multinational corporations, semi-State organisations as well as a number of privately owned Irish companies.

The successful candidate will provide high quality stamp duty advice to the firm's clients.  The work will be varied and challenging and will include advising on group reorganisations, mergers and acquisitions, significant property purchases, tax-based property investments etc.

Responsibilities
• Researching and resolving technical stamp duty issues
• Reviewing the work of junior team members
• Assisting the Partner / Senior Manager in business development
• Taking responsibility for delegated work
• Managing self and others in the team
• Working to tight deadlines

Required skills
• AITI or qualified solicitor / barrister
• At least 3 years post qualification experience working full time or mainly in stamp duty and dealing with challenging stamp duty issues
• Currently working in a top ten accountancy or law firm

Personal Requirements
• Thorough knowledge of Irish stamp duty law and practice
• Client focussed with strong commercial awareness
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to lead as well as work as part of a team
