Insurance/Reinsurance Manager

Based in Dublin City Centre, our client is the world's leading risk and insurance services firm. Operating in over 100 countries they offer services such as risk analysis, audit and identification, insurance broking, risk management consulting and claims management. Employing over 300 staff in Ireland they have offices in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Belfast and Derry. As Ireland's leading Insurance Broking and Risk Management Company they are constantly expanding and now have a vacancy for an Insurance Manager on their Client Service Team.

The main function of the Insurance Manager is to ensure the efficient handling of all Insurance/Reinsurance Programmes under management.

Your other duties will include but not be limited to the following;

• Assisting in the provision of technical support & advice on insurance matters to both clients and account managers and to actively encourage the creative use of the captives on an ongoing basis
• Assisting in the production of new business opportunities
• Providing administrative and technical support with a view to
o Ensuring that Insurance/Reinsurance documentation is correct and in place in a timely manner and from time to time assist in the drafting & issuance of same
o Handling client's insured's & broker's queries on Insurance & Reinsurance matters affecting captives under management
o Assisting in the placing of adequate Reinsurance protections and the monitoring of same on an ongoing basis
o  Assisting in the provision of technical support internally
o Keeping up to date in all relevant areas of international & local insurance practice & insurance legislation

• A minimum of 5 years international industry insurance experience
• ACII qualification or pursuing the same
• A background in Reinsurance and captives
