FUND ACCOUNTING TRAINING MANAGER

Company Profile
Our client, a pre-eminent financial institution, is currently looking to recruit a Training Manager within the Fund Accounting function of their Dublin city centre based offices.

The Role
The successful candidate will report directly to the Training AVP and will deliver training programs to staff members.  You will manage and participate in the development of courses specific to the fund accounting curriculum and will manage multiple training initiatives.  You will be required to stay abreast of industry knowledge including portfolio and fund accounting, complex security processing, offshore shareholder and partnership accounting and an understanding of US Tax matters.

Key responsibilities include:

 Delivering high quality, interactive development programs ranging from technical software training to daily workflow training
 Maintaining complete and accurate global training material in a central location
 Assisting the AVP in the analysis of training needs within the Dublin office
 Providing timely and regular reporting to AVP
 Coordinating with the AVP and the Operations function in rolling out and implementing new or enhanced procedures
 Keeping abreast of current training trends and training methods
 Seeking out educational and informational sources to enhance operations and Industry knowledge
 Assisting in training projects and other special projects as required

Experience
 At least 3 years fund administration experience (mutual and hedge funds)
 Proven ability to build and develop training courses
 Management skills and presentation skills necessary
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 Ability to interface with all levels of the company and build partnerships with operational associates
 Strong planning and scheduling skills
 Ability to work with minimal supervision
 Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a highly organised and disciplined fashion
 High level of computer literacy, ability to obtain working knowledge of key in-house applications and effectively communicate system enhancements and issues with users.

Education
Bachelors degree in a business, finance or accountancy related discipline is desirable.

Excellent salary and benefits depending on experience.
