Our client, a software development company with its headquarters in Dublin, who  provide specialist professional services spanning the whole development lifecycle to clients within the financial, telecommunications and public sectors.

Due to unprecedented growth in the past year, they have a requirement for an experienced Software Engineer C/Unix to be based with a development partner based in Limerick city.

Job Description

• The ideal candidate will have experience implementing and developing software within a project based environment.
• You will have experience with real-time/embedded software development for the telecoms sector.
• The role involves developing software for the telecommunications market.
  

Requirements:

• Creation and review of Functional Specifications.
• Ability to design and implement complex modules with minimal supervision.
• Review Design Specifications and code developed by other team members.
• The ability and willingness to take a component design and progress it through to development, testing, documentation and delivery.
• Create and review Test plans.
• Installation and delivery of developed applications to a customer site. Requirements
• At least 3 years previous experience
• Real-time/embedded software development using C on Unix
• Experience in the full software development life-cycle Beneficial
• Telecommunications and signaling systems including SS7, IN/CAMEL, PARLAY, MAP
• Distributed, mixed platform solutions
• Knowledge of C , UNIX, Perl, Java, CORBA a distinct advantage
