Our client, a large multi-national based in Cork are looking to recruit a Business Operations Manager for a permanent position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the business operations activities within the overall International Supply Chain, specifically focusing on Logistics type activity.

Duties

  • They will Implement and standardizes business intelligence gathered from various processes, systems and experiences.
  • Identifies and recommends productivity & quality improvement opportunities.
  • A key part of the role will be to identify key business metrics and reports.
  • They will manage specific Logistics business operations and continuous improvement of the processes.
  • They will also manage process and reporting activities to include financial, productivity, quality compliance, training, and/or efficiency, etc.
  • Analyzes data to provide decision support to senior management.
  • Identifies Supply Chain inefficiencies as well as best practices and drives improvement initiatives with senior management and operations teams.
  • Acts as customer advocate for processes, metrics, measurments, and tools developed for management of the business.
  • Acts as a liaison and interfaces cross-functionally to maintain communication between business groups, especially the country offices & partners.
  • Participates in the development of overall objectives and long-term goals of the organization
  • Solves Supply Chain challenges through expertise in the areas of foreign trade, customs, compliance, distribution networks and general awareness of the industry to enable EMC's Supply Chain be a key differentiator.
  • Executes project plans to roll out new/enhanced processes or systems capabilities.
  • Participates in project/initiative prioritization process.
  • Identifies key operational and performance metrics to measure business performance and drives reporting activities.
  • Measures performance of the organization against strategic and tactical operational metrics.
  • Develops business models, business cases and forecasting tools in support of various strategic initiatives
