My client is a well-established Irish brand in the FMCG sector and is currently looking for a Marketing Accountant for its D3 office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a very commercially aware accountant as you will be will be the only finance person assigned to the marketing team (made of 6)  and  you will be responsible for all finance related analysis for them.

Main duties:

Monitoring and re-claiming of advertising and promotional expenditure
Monitoring and reporting of brand KPIs
Support Market/Brand Development Managers in monitoring brand contribution performance
Actual spend plus commitments versus budget monitored and reported, with variances highlighted
Forecasts provided to planning of: Brand Sales Volume, A&P expenditure and marketing overheads.

Regular reporting of actual compared with plan.
Prepare reports for Marketing division (market share, distribution, volume, rotation, visibility and consumer pricing).
o Brand performance against planned contribution levels
Suppoprt Market/Brand Development managers  in ensuring that financial and performance commitments to brand owners are fully reflected in the Company's Operating Plan.
Reports on sales compared with market statistics and Nielsen.
Provide sales reports to help set sales and promotion objectives.
Promotional investments monitored and results from these investments analysed.

Main requirements:

The ideal candidate will be part-qualified accountant with relevant experience. Ideally the chosen candidate will have worked as an accountant for the Marketing division and will be very commercially aware. Excellent analytical skills are needed for this role.
