On behalf of my client, a leading US multinatial with extensive worldwide network, I am looking for an Accountant with supervisory experience.

This an excellent opportunity as you will be reviewing balance sheet reconciliations on behalf of various business units within the multinational.  You will also be supervising team of up to 7 people.  From the audit point of view, you will ensure that the whole reconciliation process is in line with SOX requirements.

Main Duties:

Responsible for ensuring that Performance Management and One to Ones are delivered to all team members in line with company's objectives.

Management of the centralised reconciliation team through migration period with focus on developing and improving the reconciliation process through automation.

To gain in depth knowledge of accounting principals relating to each balance sheet account to ensure reconciliations are required and prepared in correct format .

Review of all reconciliations performed within the team and responsibility to ensure optimum reconciliation process is in place making recommendations for corrective action/improvement.

Update and review of monthly Controller reconciliations log to ensure there are no unidentified / uncleared items under our control are greater than 90 days.

Review and agreement of reconciliation Service Level Agreements with each business unit

Handling all Internal / External / SOX Audit queries and responsibility to ensure that reconciliation processes are in line with current auditing standards.

Minimum Requirements:

You will ideally be holding an accountancy qualification but this is not mandatory if you have relevant experience within a high-volume multinational.  Oracle knowledge is an advantage.
