JAVA DEVELOPER - SOUTH DUBLIN

Summary:

Development of latest personalization products & mobile Internet solutions for international client base.

Responsibilities:

Full lifecycle surrounding software development process.

Qualifications:

Degree in Computer Science and 1-5 years relevant industry experience.

Required Experience:

- Java programming. Candidates must demonstrate desire to reach expert status in Java development.

- Excellent knowledge of Internet technologies (e.g. Servlets, JSPs, HTTP, XML, XSLT).

- Excellent understanding of Internet infrastructure & architecture (e.g. networks, protocols, routers, firewalls, web servers, databases).

- Candidates should be capable of working on assignments either in a team or individually as the need arises. An active contribution to the development of the group in terms of quality, productivity and team goals is required.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Strong customer interaction skills.

- Capable of working to tight deadlines when required to do so.

- Development of server based Java products.

- Ability to perform any necessary tasks for the entire software development lifecycle, including documentation and QA.

- Experience of software engineering best practices.

- Track record of delivering to tight and pressurised deadlines - at leading edge.

- Windows and UNIX platform development experience.

Desirable Experience:

- Experience gained in the development of mobile Internet products/solutions.
- System integration experience.
- System deployment experience.
- Experience of different application servers.
- Experience of content transformation/syndication/repurposing using XML and XSL.
- SWING.
- Shell programming for UNIX.
