SOFTWARE TESTER - JAVA

The successful candidate will create and execute functionality, automated and performance test suites. In addition to the above you will have experience in developing and maintaining test processes and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications

3rd level degree and at least 2 years relevant industry experience.

Required Skills

- Strong team member, able to contribute to the QA requirements for the worlds leading company in personalization technologies and solutions within the mobile sector.

- Ability to act on your own initiative and be a self starter.

- An active contribution to the development team in terms of quality, productivity and team goals is required.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Experience of QA best practices.

- Able to handle multiple concurrent projects.

- Ability to provide technical input to test project planning, test development and test execution tasks.

- Ability to analyse results/problems on test projects and recommend appropriate action to ensure product quality

- Provide 3rd level support on client installations.

- Must pay great attention to detail.

- Capable of working and delivering to tight deadlines.

Required Experience

- At least 2 years full lifecycle QA experience (from specifications to deployment and on-going support) in a software development environment.

- At least 2 year experience of deploying products in a commercial environment (configuring hardware and software, developing installation software, etc.).

- Proven track record of developing test plans, test strategies and test scripts.

- Understanding of Internet software (client/server, XML, Java, application servers, web servers etc.)

- Scheduling of QA projects.

- Network administration skills - need to maintain hardware software.

- QA procedures development and maintenance.

- Setup and Administration of Bug Tracking system.

- Status reporting.

- Track record of delivering product to tight and pressurised deadlines - at leading edge.

Desirable Skills & experience

- Load & Performance testing experience.

- Experience in the mobile sector.

- Experience of multiple operating systems: Windows, Unix, Linux etc.

- Experience of automated testing tools

- Programming skills.

- Experience in using version control systems.

- Experience of release testing.
