TECHNICAL CONSULTANT - JAVA & ORACLE Responsibilities: o Lead technical components of system implementation projects including technical analysis and solution design, product configuration, interfacing, installation & testing. o Run workshops with Clients to define technical design requirements and to scope the associated work. o Provide technical expertise to project team on architecture covering relational databases, application servers and java based GUI front end. o Work with pre-sales team to correctly size technical implementation effort. o Work with project management to develop realistic development plans and contribute to successful project deliveries. o Determine technical and business impact analysis of customer specific requirements. o Work with the product development group to define an appropriate approach for customer specific requirements. Requirements: o Project Implementation Experience, through entire project lifecycles, from requirements analysis to testing. o Technical areas of experience should include some of the following o PL/SQL development skills, particularly in data warehousing environments o Data extraction, transformation and load scripting including the use of Oracle SQLLDR o Experience of working with multiple databases and data integration issues o Experience of data base performance tuning o Familiarity with expert systems (rules engines) and/or statistical principles o Web and application server, J2EE and Java Programming experience o Technical Team Lead and/or Business Analyst experience is desirable. o Ability to work in a fast pace environment, think on your feet, and to engage in effective communications with both the business and technical communities. o As there will be requirements for the person to work from Client sites, flexibility to travel is a must. o In addition to English, fluency in another European language would be advantageous. o Industry experience in Financial Services would be an advantage For more info contact Eoin on 01 234 4118 or apply for this role online
