A long-established Irish website development company with a proven record and impressive list of clients seeks an experienced Senior Web Developer to develop and create a variety of highly effective client sites.

The successful candidate willhave experience across the following areas;

Description
The company, established in late 1994, is a wholly owned Irish company with an established track record within the Internet and New Media sector.

Clients include a wealth of multinationals with easily recognisable names.

The Role

Reporting to the Creative Director, you must be an independent, self-motivated, creative professional with a passion for interactive design and a vast understanding of online content.

This fast-paced position requires an individual who thrives in a professional environment, is detail-oriented and is dedicated to completing projects efficiently and on schedule.

Education
B.A. or higher in Graphic Design or Web Design preferred.

Please note this is not a developer position, and the applicant must have formal design training.

Website Design
We create a variety of sites including brand sites, shopping/information portals, educational and service sites. A strong knowledge of interface design and layout is essential.

High end Photoshop skills are critical as well as a good working knowledge of HTML, in order that you understand the constraints of the medium from a design perspective. Advanced technical skills are not required as we have a full in-house development team.

Branding
The ability to build a clear, professional brand presence is important. The tasks may include logo design, creating brand guidelines etc...

Commercial Awareness
The majority of our sites are geared towards financial goals, i.e. reducing costs or improving business processes. We need professional, clean, functional web-sites enhanced by their design. Within this you will also need the ability to effectively manage client expectations.

Technical Requirements

Required

• Photoshop
• Illustrator
• Fireworks

Experience with Flash MX (including ActionScript 2.0) is also required.

Desirable

• HTML
• Dreamweaver

You must include examples of your work in your CV, and possess a large portfolio of work.

Experience
• Minimum 4 years experience working within a similar role
• Superb typography, color, and presentation skills
• Ability to collaborate and communicate within in a networked team
• Prepared to travel as required
• Management responsibility, not just design

As many of the clients are multinational companies the successfull applicant will have experience of working on large international projects.
