Commercial Banking Officer

We currently have a role for a Commercial Banking Officer based within the business centre of a leading bank based in North Dublin. The client are looking for candidates with previous experience within banking who are looking to work in a back office environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Act as first point of reference for commercial customer queries (eg: answer interest rate queries, queries around condition of loan or any general queries).
  • Co-ordinate monthly expired limit report, to include booking-in reviews (eg: list of limits received, go through it initially with CM and do up report for limits that need to be extended and send to CLU. Report authorised by CM. Purpose of this is to avoid expired limits.
  • Prepare customer Security requirements (eg: title deeds received CM draws up paperwork and Commercial Officer to liaise with Securities around any issues/queries.
  • Prepare standard reports for submission to CLU (eg: customer wants to increase limit, Commercial Officer to compile details from file.
  • Attend customers meeting with CM, as part of training/learning skills.
  • Prepare facility letters and loan agreement forms
  • Complete account-opening documentation in line with Group Regulatory Risk guidelines.
  • Follow up actions from Business Service Reviews.
  • Liaise with various departments within the Group. (eg: Cards for an application following a BSR, E-Banking for an internet connection etc.)
  • Prospect for new business and contribute to Commercial Manager targets (eg: assist in the development of new business, request a customer report showing details of direct debits).
  • Commercial Officer assist CM in calling customers with a view to gaining business (transfer to UB direct debits). This does not involve cold calling.

Business Executive (QFA)

 

We currently have a role for a Business Executive (preferably QFA qualified or part QFA qualified) looking to work within commercial banking.

 

 

Role Purpose:

  • Support the activities of the management team at the Business Centre, including in local business development
  • Prepare/process loan applications, offer documentation and security records
  • Maintain customer relationships including liaising with relevant other group service units
  • Identify cross sales opportunities from within allocated customer portfolio
  • Maintain compliant account opening and credit control procedures

 

Experience & Requirements:

  • At least two year's banking experience to an acceptable standard
  • Proven numeracy, financial analysis, documentation and procedural skills
  • A proven track record or aptitude in the indicated competencies and responsibilities.
  • Proven teamwork skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines including on own initiative
  • Keen interest in business
  • Accounting /banking/ business studies qualification
  • At least entry-level credit skills
  • Fluency in Word and Excel
  • Financial analysis skills
  • Procedural knowledge
