My client is one of Ireland’s leading law firms and are trusted legal advisors to a broad client base including public sector bodies, multi-national companies and owner-managed businesses operating in Ireland and beyond.
About Your New Job
They are seeking an experienced Commercial Litigator to work on some of the largest and highest profile cases in the State, including matters currently before the High Court as well as the Commercial Court. This is an opportunity to be involved in career defining insurance litigation as well as commercially diverse litigation and insurance arbitration, as part of a structured team working closely with the Equity Partner.
This role can be based in Dublin, Galway or Shannon
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising and acting for national and international clients who are financial institutions as well as family owned and owner manager businesses, on a wide variety of issues, Insurance disputes, Contractual disputes, Commercial insurance defence as well as Insurance coverage challenges, contractual disputes, Shareholder disputes and Landlord and Tenant matters.
- Actively pursuing business development, networking, and marketing opportunities and, providing CPD presentations in tandem with team.
- Delivery of client goals and provision of client service to the highest standards.
What Skills You Need
- 4/5 PQE+, admitted to practice in Ireland and/or any another common law jurisdiction, with strong experience in complex Commercial Litigation.
- Strategically minded, solutions driven problem solver with a strong work ethic, excellent legal technical skills and commercial judgement.
- ADR experience/knowledge.
- Enthusiastic about business development, strong contributor to managing valuable client relationships as part of the team. Takes ownership of development of own and team market profile.
- Supports and assists with the development and management of junior colleagues to their greatest potential through day-to-day guidance and mentoring.
- A pro-active self-starter who utilises strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a team environment and maintains excellent professional standards.Good time management skills, the ability to manage a busy workload and meet required deadlines.
- Strong Microsoft office skills.
- A positive attitude, the ability to take ownership and responsibility for the completion of tasks and the ability to take and demonstrate initiative.
